Liam Turns 2

It seems like just yesterday that Liam turned one, but it was really a whole year ago. How does that happen? I have loved watching Liam grow this past year. He is just so delightful. He is always laughing and loves to snuggle. He runs away from me when I try to tickle him and then he backs up again to give me another chance. Oh this kid… he’s just wonderful. And now he’s two.

When Liam stumbled on his way back around to watch his cars and trucks go down the slide, he just started laughing.

After cake, we opened presents. Claire disappeared for a little while and came back with a pillowcase. She said she had rummaged through her closet to find some toys for Liam. I think she did a great job choosing. Here’s Liam’s reaction to the Curious George she gave him.

And I love Claire’s reaction to his reaction. Those two make such a great pair. I gave Liam a little Fisher-Price piggy. It’s a toy that Penny Lane loved when she was his age. Liam liked it, too. He made the sign for pig.

Liam got a water and sand play set, and since it was still so beautiful outside, Izzy put it together right away. Liam loved playing with it.

Claire has figured out a way to hook up Liam’s swing to hers so that she can swing along with him. I love this picture of both of them with their tongues hanging out. I can’t wait to see how they both grow up.

Seriously so cute! I wish we could’ve been there. The cake was so cute too. Liam is 2??? I can’t belive how fast he grew up. I loooooved the pic that moves, the one of Claire giving him the curious george, that was delightful!

Well you asked for comments, so it’s on!

First, that cake looks super cute and delish.

More importantly, you need to start developing a business plan. If you can find a way to bottle that Armstrong sass and sell it….well shoot, you really could take a couple months to go around Europe!

There needs to be an epic meeting of you, all your siblings, and all the nieces and nephews. And it needs to be captured in one photo. OMG, wait, is that how the world is going to end this year? A-sass-calypse.

Cristen, just imagine how amazing it would be if we could bottle your wit and combine it with the Armstrong sass! I think we could retire early on those funds. And even endow a chair at a university. The Marek Armstrong Chair of Wit and Sass. Genius!
