I am so lucky to have a sister who is also my best friend. She taught me how to tie my shoes and how to read. We shared a room until I was 9 years old. At night, we would lay in bed and play guessing games with each other. When I was scared, she would hold my hand. I know we had our own little arguments about which side of the room belonged to whom and, when we were older, who wore whose shirt without asking. But I loved having someone to look up to, someone to hide encouraging notes in my backpack, someone to be the tooth fairy when my parents forgot. I hope Penny Lane and Lucy will have the same kind of friendship I have with my sister.

I need to catch up on commenting on your posts soon, but for now, I’ll just post here to tell you that this totally made me cry! The bit about the Tooth Fairy! So awesome. Sisters are the best. I can tell that yours is really lucky to have you as a sister, but also as an amazing aunt to her kids.

Aww… thanks Sara! I hope that by catching up on my blog that means you’re also going to be catching up on yours. I miss seeing your lovely pictures!

Katie you are the most willing of all. You are the one that would come when I’d knock on the wall our bedrooms shared, just to have me ask you to turn off my light … because I was too tired (or lazy) to do it myself. I never did finish that cross stitch “A sister is a forever friend”, but it’s true. I love you!!!

I love comments! Seriously, they make my day. Thanks for contributing to the conversation!
